Lovette
Cliff Lovette, Esq. is Georgia counsel to the firm, with a specialty
in entertainment and copyright law. A graduate of Tufts University
(BA, 1979) and Emory Law (JD, 1982)., Mr. Lovette has over 16 years
of experience as an entertainment attorney. He has provided a wide
range of legal and business services to recording artists, artist
representatives, music publishing companies, motion picture production
companies, record companies and similar entertainment clients. For
five years, Mr. Lovette developed and taught courses in copyright
law, business management and entertainment contract law at the Music
Business Institute. As a senior associate in one of the nation's
premier entertainment law firms, Katz, Smith & Cohen, Mr. Lovette
assisted its partners in providing legal services for that firm's
internationally recognized clients, such as Jimmy Buffet, B. B.
King and Willie Nelson. Thereafter, Mr. Lovette created the legal
and business affairs department for LaFace Records under authority
of multi-Grammy award winning songwriters and producers, Kenny "Babyface"
Edmonds and Antonio "LA" Reid. At La Face Records Mr. Lovette held
the position of Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs.
